Thermage® is a safe, non-invasive treatment used to tighten the skin, reduce wrinkles and stimulate new collagen production on your face, tummy, buttocks, thighs, hands or arms. Thermage® improves the tone, contour, and texture of your entire face, effectively treating; forehead, eyes, nasolabial folds, jaw line, jowls and the area under your chin.

The skin on your face is made up of three layers; the layer you see is called the epidermis, just beneath the epidermis is a collagen-rich layer called the dermis, and the deepest layer is called the subcutaneous layer or “fat layer”.

Thermage® tightens and renews your skin's collagen in all three layers. Thermage's unique Capacitive Radio Frequency (CRF) technology safely heats your skins under layer and the web of collagen in the inner layer, causing an immediate tightening as well as improved tone and texture. Improvements will continue for four to six months following treatment as new collagen grows.

Thermage® can be performed in just one session lasting from 20 minutes to two hours, depending on the area being treated. No anesthesia is required, however Dr. Mok or Dr. Kotlus may offer light pain medications prior to treatment to make sure you are comfortable.

During the treatment, you'll feel a brief, heat sensation each time Thermage® delivers radio frequency energy to the under layer of your skin. This indicates that your collagen is being stimulated and tightened.
