Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is an effective treatment for mild to moderate acne, sun damage, uneven skin tone (hyper pigmentation), age spots, fine lines and mild scarring. People all ages and skin types can consider the use of microdermabrasion to achieve more even and healthier looking skin. The procedure has very few risks is minimally invasive and requires no downtime.

A small vacuum type machine is passed over the skins surface spraying a stream of tiny crystals gently buffing away the skins imperfections. The device simultaneously suctions up the used crystals, dead skin cells and removes impurities. The procedure promotes re-growth of the upper layer of your skin. The result is a more even, smoother and healthier looking skin. Microdermabrasion can remove some moisture from the skin, so use of a moisturizing cream is recommended.

Results usually can be seen within a day or so, but a series of microdermabrasion treatments several weeks apart is usually recommended for maximum effectiveness. Although microdermabrasion is most commonly performed on the face and neck, any part of the body can be treated.
